There's something about summer when you're a kid that just hits different. Riding bikes to play with friends, staying out until it's dark, not a care in the world. You're not thinking about anything except the game. That feeling is hard to explain but you know it when you have it, and you definitely know when it's gone.

I got my first baseball card in 3rd grade. Portrait shot, standing there smiling, but I remember really wishing it was an action shot, like a diving catch or something. It's funny to think about now, but I still have that card pinned up in my room. My height, my weight, Kris Bryant listed as my favorite player. It just made me want to do something better for the next kid.
